About the Editor

From the earliest point in my life that I can recall, I remember watching the Bears.  In Chitown, it’s the only thing we can all agree on.  I don’t recall when I crossed the line and became a Super Fan, but I do know that that’s when my life began to have meaning.  And like so many of you, I live by my faith – faith that the Bears will win the Super Bowl again this year (as we do every year, even if it’s only in our heads).  And I pray to my God (“Iron” Mike Ditka) for his guidance to help me celebrate victories safely, and for his strength to make it through the occasional, torturous loss.

It’s been said that “there’s nothing more dangerous than a fanatic with a cause.”  But I believe there’s something worse – a Super Fan (who happens to have a degree in English along with a shocking inability to filter himself) with an audience.  This blog provides me that audience.  It allows me to rant after each game without having to deal with corporate sponsorship or FCC censorship.  It also stores every article I post (including previous seasons dating back to 2007), so you can get caught up with my commentary whenever it’s convenient for you.  That’s the beauty of it – YOU decide how much bearing down you want to do, and when.  And it’s interactive – it allows you to comment on each post.

So if you like the Chicago Bears, are an advocate of free speech, and want to be a part of something special, then I invite you to call this blog your home for all your Chicago Bears analysis.
